What an unforgettable day with the Pre-K to 3rd graders at Dallas West STEM! Despite a crazy storm and no power for the first two hours, we kept the music flowing—acoustic style! It wasn’t easy getting there, with a severe tornado watch and intense winds, plus a 1.5-hour drive, but seeing so many bright young minds light up with the magic of music made it all worth it.
Once the power came back, I was able to use the wonderful donated Casio piano, which really brought the music to life for the students. It was amazing to watch their faces light up as they experienced the piano and took part in the lessons I shared.
“The show must go on” – and it did, no matter the challenges. Miles for Music will always find a way to reach these kids and brighten their day, sharing lessons in music, confidence, and creativity with Confident Cupcake and Poetic Expression.
Next stop: more schools and more music!
